Mark Uth faces long lay-off with muscle tear

Ermin Bicakcic and Mark Uth were both substituted during the 2-1 win over FC Schalke 04, due to injury. Kerem Demirbay also suffered an injury in the last few minutes of the game. The diagnosis for all three of the players has now been released, with Uth set for a long period on the sidelines.

Demirbay and Bicakcic have both been given the all clear, with Uth’s injury appearing a lot more serious. The TSG striker will be facing a long lay-off after tearing his left hamstring. The exact length of time that Uth will miss is still unclear. Bicakcic received a blow to the ankle during the game and was substituted as a result. However, the medical examinations carried out on Sunday evening and Monday morning revealed no structural damage.

There are also no serious concerns over Kerem Demirbay, who assisted Lukas Rupp’s winner in the 2-1 victory. He only experienced cramp in his thigh towards the end of the game.
