FC Ingolstadt Match Reactions

The manager and his players respond to the 1-1 away draw.

Huub Stevens: I'm obviously pleased with the point, but it wasn't a great game today. We showed determination and eventually earned a point, but from a footballing point of view, it's not such a pretty picture. We didn't show enough

Mark Uth: I didn't control the ball very well at first and it got away from me. The defender tried to dribble with the ball at his feet and I came back. It was important that we, and not our opponents, scored in the last minute. On the whole, we didn't create enough chances, unlike against Gladbach. That was our biggest flaw. The goal we conceded was disappointing, but in the end, we had a bit of luck to make amends.

Eugen Polanski: In the end, the result rewarded us for our performance. We didn't play well going forward, we lost the ball too easily and we didn't combine well. We played too many long and inaccurate balls. We knew the game would be like that because Ingolstadt force you to play a certain way. In any case, we need to deal with that better. We need a win next week against Hannover, there's no alternative.

Fabian Schär: We showed spirit and determination, and in the end we deservedly got the goal in the last minute. We still have a long road ahead of us. We're not happy with our current situation because we're glued to the bottom of the table.
