Wolfsburg
match reaction

We caught up with Markus Gisdol, Dieter Hecking and a few players after TSG's 3-0 loss in Wolfsburg.

Markus Gisdol: It's really hard to analyse this match in a way that actually sounds credible. We went down 3-0, but somehow it's difficult to believe that really happened. Wolfsburg were a bit better during the first half. However, we played really well during the second 45 and had a lot of great opportunities to score. Somehow we just can't get the ball across the line at the moment. It's always a good sign when we're creating so many chances though. We played really well and that's giving me a positive outlook for the upcoming weeks.

Dieter Hecking:We were very efficient during the first half and took control of the game. We gave them too much space after we went ahead. In the second half we lost focus and practically invited Hoffenheim to score. We were extremely lucky they didn't get a goal after the break.

Nadiem Amiri:Of course I was really nervous at first, but the team had my back and it was all gone after a couple of minutes. It was something special to be allowed to play one of the best teams in league on my debut. I'm really happy about this match, but it's unfortunate that we didn't collect any points.

Kevin Volland:Two of those goals were totally avoidable. We totally slept through the first couple of minutes of the game. We had really good chances in the second half and we should have scored on those occasions. Maybe we could have had two penalties as well. I think I was clearly fouled that one time. Wolfsburg are on a really good run at the moment and we just aren't. We need to put in some good training sessions this week and show what we're capable of against Stuttgart. We've got the quality. We were clearly the better team after the break.

Klaus Allofs:We made a sensational start, created some chances and scored two goals. We failed to do all that in the second half though. We didn't make the necessary runs anymore and really needed Diego Benaglio to save the day. Fortunately, we had De Bruyne to decide the game in our favour.
