Nadiem Amiri scores in 3-0 win over Greece

The Germany U19 side recovered from a 2-0 defeat to Spain in the opening match of their Four Nations tournament campaign by recording a 3-0 victory over Greece. Hoffenheim's Nadiem Amiri opened the scoring in the game.

Marcus Sorg's side returned to the Katerini Municipal Stadium to face the hosts and were hoping to get back on track after losing to Spain on the opening day of the tournament. Nadiem Amiri opened the scoring shortly before the half an hour mark. Germany's other two goals came in the second half thanks to Max Christiansen and Richard Neudecker.

“My team played well in the game and have left a positive impression in my mind. We were very well organised,” said Sorg shortly after full time. He added that he thought the win should have been clearer, as Greece played half an hour with ten men due to Michail Iliadis' red card. Amiri was replaced by Sinan Kurt in the 69th minute.

The tournament concludes for Sorg's side on Monday (14:00 CET) against France in Veria. France lost their game to Spain 5-1.
