TSG win friendly match in Tuggen

TSG played their first of three friendlies on Friday evening during their training camp in Swiss Brunnen. Markus Gisdol's men took on Swiss third-league side FC Tuggen in Tuggen. The Bundesliga team comfortably won 4-0 in front of 550 spectators and a picturesque setting.

TSG needed a few minutes to find their rhythm after conducting tough training sessions these past few days. Pirmin Schwegler finally gave Hoffenheim the lead in the 35th minute. He struck into the far corner from eleven metres. Bruno Nazario assisted him with a fine through-ball and TSG got a hold on the game courtesy of the goal.

Gisdol changed the whole side at half-time but it at didn't alter the course of the game much and Tuggen were rarely able to break forward.

Rudy on target with free-kick again

So more goals followed. Sebastian Rudy converted a direct free-kick from around 20 metres on the hour mark. He added Hoffenheim's second with his right foot, bending the ball over the wall and into the back of the net. He also found the target in Lauffen with a free-kick in Hoffenheim's first friendly from a very similar position.

Jiloan Hamad made it 3-0 to TSG just two minutes later when he slotted home at the near post from twelve metres. Adam Szalai rightly made it 4-0 in the 75th minute. He was released and found himself one-on-one, but kept his composure to strike into the far corner with his left to cap off a fine win.

It was the fifth win from five friendly matches for TSG, with a goal discrepancy of 41-0 – Not bad…
