Dortmund match reaction

Here is the match reaction following TSG's 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Markus Gisdol: I'm happy with how we started. We found our feet very quickly and could have led 2-0 from Kevin Volland's chance. We weren't able to keep the centre of the park packed out after that and then we were under siege. We conceded a goal too many. The second half was okay again and with a bit of luck we could have gotten a point. Nevertheless, congratulations to BVB and I wish them all the best for the cup final.

Jürgen Klopp: On a day like this, shortly before the end of the season and in Robert Lewandowski's farewell game, Hoffenheim are the wrong opponents. They're full of desire and are inspired by the atmosphere. You have to compensate every lapse in concentration with that extra bit of running. We knew that TSG wouldn't hang their hands after going behind. The first half in particular was a great advert for football. I wish Markus Gisdol and his team all the best against Braunschweig – that's sure to be an entertaining game.

Alexander Rosen: Our team put in a good performance today. We wanted to play attacking football here, push forward and avoid being passive. That worked very well at the start. We almost went 2-0 in front from Kevin Volland's chance. We were then punished for a weak phase by a very strong Dortmund attack. Despite trailing, the team never gave up and kept pushing for a point until the end.

Niklas Süle: We started really well today, but we were a little too casual for a spell. You can't afford to do that against a team like Dortmund. We threw everything at it at the end, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to get the equaliser.
