Moments of the year – The youngster shines through

2013 is almost over. It was certainly an eventful year for TSG, one that saw them avoid relegation at the last second. One that saw a goal, that wasn't a goal. achtzehn99.de takes a look back at five moments from the past year.

No. 2 - Niklas Süle: Young gun firing

The moments:Niklas Süle has made a quick start. He was one of the first to join TSG's academy and has gone on to break a few records for the club. He made his Bundesliga debut in a match against Hamburger SV in May 2013 – at just 17 years and 220 days old, the youngest first-team player in TSG's Bundesliga history. Two more records have since fallen: He scored the important opening goal in Hoffenheim's German Cup win against Energie Cottbus. Süle was 18 years and 21 days old at the time and became Hoffenheim's youngest goalscorer in a competitive game. Just 39 days later, he scored in the Bundesliga against FC Bayern Munich, making him the youngest league goalscorer in Hoffenheim's history.
