Goalkeeper training and kits for Burundi

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim scout and world footballer Lutz Pfannenstiel was recently in Africa, more specifically Burundi, to help develop the game as well as provided the country's association with kit.

Pfannenstiel, who is extremely active with his charity project Global United FC in Africa, was there to implement a short-term project of Germany's Olympic Sports committee and carry out foreign commitments acting as a German FA foreign expert. The first part of that was goalkeeper training, as well as exercises for the best goalkeepers in the country. In total, more than 40 people took part, including the goalkeeping coach of the international team and all the keeper coaches of the first-division clubs.

As usual, Lutz Pfannenstiel took some Hoffenheim kits with him to hand out in Burundi. The U17 and U20 teams got a complete set of TSG kits, while the staff got TSG rain jackets. This is support that is badly needed: The players of the youth international teams often have to take to the field in ripped jerseys and goalkeepers often don't have gloves.
