TSG sign Kevin Akpoguma

TSG have secured a new talent for the upcoming season: Kevin Akpoguma will move to the Kraichgau from Karlsruhe SC after signing a four-year contract. The transfer fee is undisclosed.

Alexander Rosen, head of professional football: “We've had our eye on Kevin for three years. We're delighted that he sees our club as the one where he can best develop as a young professional, despite several other offers.”

Akpoguma played in the U17 Bundesliga with KSC for two years, before joining the U19 squad and finally the first team. Born in Neustadt, Akpoguma made his starting debut in November 2012 as a central defender and scored his first goal against VfL Osnabrück in January 2013. The 6'3'' defender opened his scoring account at the age of 17 years and 282 days and as a result, became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the third division.

The 18-year-old junior international has represented Germany at U16-, U17- and U18-level and took part in the 2012 European U17 Championships in Slovenia last summer.
