Ten TSG players to represent their nations

The season has hardly ended after TSG escaped relegation but for some players, their holidays will have to wait. Seven players have been called up to represent their nations at various levels, whilst Kevin Volland, Sebastian Rudy and Stefan Thesker will play for Germany at the U21 European Championship in Israel. Their group stage matches will take place on June 6th (vs. the Netherlands), June 9th (vs. Spain) and June 12th (vs. Russia).

Eugen Polanski will join the Poland national team for their games against Liechtenstein (June 4th) and Moldova (June 7th). A win is the requirement in the World Cup qualifier against Moldova, otherwise Poland's hopes of reaching Brazil in 2014 will be all but dashed.

Daniel Williams and Fabian Johnson have been called up by Jürgen Klinsmann for the USA. The Americans are playing three World Cup qualifiers in June against Jamaica (June 8th), Panama (June 12th) and Honduras (June 19th). Before those though, there will be a friendly match against Germany on June 2nd.

Casteels at prestigious U21 tournament

Sejad Salihovic will also be involved in World Cup qualifiers. On June 7th, his Bosnia and Herzegovina side will play Latvia in Riga. After that, there's another trip on the cards with a visit to Muscat to face hosts Oman on June 10th.

TSG goalkeeper Koen Casteels is also being kept busy. The Belgian will be playing U21 football at a tournament in Toulon. Despite having missed out on his nation's first game against Brazil due to the relegation play-off, there will be at least another three matches for him to take part in against Portugal, Nigeria and Mexico.

Stephan Schröck will also continue his involvement with the Philippines. The team will play in Hong Kong on June 4th, in Kyrgyzstan on June 8th and in Tajikistan on June 11th. Michael Gregoritsch has been called up to Austria's U19 squad for their European Championship qualifiers. On June 5th they face Bosnia and Herzegovina, before a trip to France on June 10th.
