Leverkusen match reaction

Here is the match reaction following TSG's 5-0 defeat to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Markus Gisdol: We played against an opponent that had a good day. On top of that we got an early red card – the team is not stable enough yet to withstand that kind of setback. It's important to work hard this week and learn the lessons that this match has taught us.

Andreas Beck: We didn't play well before the red card either. The first 30 minutes were our worst so far under Markus Gisdol. The second half was abysmal. We can't play like that. We deserved to concede five goals. The red card was obviously a crucial point but certainly not the only one. It's going to be difficult to survive but it's possible. We have to make sure that we win our home games and move on from today. Leverkusen are simply a quality side.

Sejad Salihovic:We had a terrible game. We didn't get into the match at the start and didn't get stuck in. We have to gather ourselves and reflect on the game so that we can get back up quickly. We have to put everything into the match against Nürnberg.

Sascha Lewandowski: We had a great game today from the first minute onwards. Our pressing and our chance conversion was impressive. We had a fantastic afternoon. There's no doubt that Stefan Kießling is a quality football player. We finally played good football for 90 minutes today. If we do that every time, we will qualify Champions League.
