Frankfurt match reaction

Marco Kurz: “We played pretty well in the first half but Frankfurt were mature and they deserved their lead. In the second half we pushed hard and looked good in attack. Unfortunately, we didn't reward ourselves. We had good passages of play but this defeat leaves us with a bad taste in our mouths. We shouldn't lose this type of match with the performance we gave. However, just as we did before the game, we still believe in our ability to get ourselves away from danger. We must continue to work purposefully and then the points will come.”

Armin Veh: “I am pleased. The whole team fought well against a strong opposition, who, on the basis of their performance shouldn't be near the bottom of the table. It just shows you how close the Bundesliga is. We are pleased with the three points.”

Eugen Polanski: “In the short time I've had with the team I've been impressed and I'm convinced that we can get out of the bottom three. There was more in it for us there today if we had taken more of our chances in the second half.”
