Six TSG players qualify for U21 play-offs

The German U21 side have confirmed their place in the play-offs for the 2013 European U21 Championship in Israel, following a spectacular 4-4 draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The draw will take place on Friday at 14.00 CET in Nyon.

U21 manager Rainer Adrion's side had already sealed their play-off spot before their final group encounter, but the fans still came to support their side. Alongside Sebastian Rudy, there were also appearances for Boris Vukcevic, Stefan Thesker and Kevin Volland. Some good work from the latter set up the final goal for Sebastian Polter.

Everything was still on the line for Vestergaard and his Danish side in their final group game. Denmark knew they needed to take their chances and made no mistake, picking up a 3-0 win over Northern Ireland to secure their status as one of the four best second-placed sides. Vestergaard completed 90 minutes in central defence. Serbia were the group winners, defending their place at the top of the table with a 5-1 win over Macedonia. Filip Malbasic had further reason to celebrate, having been brought on at the break and scoring a goal in the 81st minute.
