Joselu convinced following Hoffenheim visit
The TSG squad has had a new lick of paint since the end of last season. 1899 already has a host of newcomers, and even more departures. Markus Babbel is clearing up and he is still not finished in his effort to seal new transfers. Currently in the sights of the Hoffenheim manager: Joselu, a hot prospect at world club Real Madrid, where the 22-year old was called into action for the second team last season, and notched up 26 goals in 36 appearances.
“We are a step closer,” says Hoffenheim coach Markus Babbel who showed the Stuttgart-born Spaniard the training facilities in Zuzenhausen during his visit on Friday. “The player really liked it. He can picture himself moving here.” Talks with the Spaniards can now begin.
But Babbel is remaining realistic and knows that there is “strong interest from English Premier League clubs, which doesn't make things any easier for us. We will do everything possible to get him to come to us, without doing anything crazy.”
