Haas agrees move to Union Berlin

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim goalkeeper Daniel Haas has agreed a deal with for 2. Bundesliga side 1. FC Union Berlin, signing a two-year contract with the capital's second club.

“I had a fantastic time at Hoffenheim and am grateful that I was able to contribute to the Hoffenheim's success in reaching promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and then the Bundesliga”, said Haas. That the 28-year-old would leave Sinsheim was revealed a few weeks ago, when the club announced that his contract could not be renewed.

Haas joined TSG in the summer of 2005 and kept goal for the club in two successful promotion campaigns, as the club reached the top flight of German football in 2008. but he has now decided to embark upon a new chapter in his career. “Union have made a name for themselves this season and have played some excellent football. It really is something special to play at the Alter Försterei stadium. I'm really looking forward to experiencing that and helping the club to achieve its objectives next season”, remarked Haas.
