1899 Hoffenheim 1-1 Mainz 05 (1-1)

Hoffenheim were held to their sixth consecutive home draw by 1. FSV Mainz 05 this evening. What did the players and managers of the respective sides have to say about the result?

Markus Babbel: We have to be satisfied with a point. We weren't aggressive enough in the first half. Mainz put us under pressure and you have to accept they deserved the equaliser. When you play at home, you need to score a second and third goal. When we scored, the boys became a little too passive and perhaps had too many thoughts going through their minds. We had a bit of luck with the goal as well.

Thomas Tuchel: The goal we conceded rather sums up our season so far: if a team doesn't score against us, we shoot ourselves in the foot and do their job for them. That has happened to us all season and has cost us another two points tonight. But there are positives to take. We're a tough team to play away from home and have lost just once in our last four on the road. But we need to remember that sometimes you don't get what you deserve.

Tom Starke: The equaliser was a tough blow for us. We had a lot of chances, but couldn't take any of them unfortunately. In that respect, we're disappointed, but we did put in a good performance tonight.

Tobias Weis: We've seen how the manager works in the last week or so, but it will still take a few weeks and months before those changes really start to be implemented. There's still a lot of work for us to do. But he has of experience behind him and he understands how to reach us.

Andreas Beck: We had a few chances to win to put the game to bed, but we couldn't convert them and that's disappointing. Home games are very important and our goal has to be to win them. But we'll continue to work hard and it will start happening for us at some point.
