Vukcevic set for spell on the sidelines

1899 Hoffenheim and head coach Marco Pezzaiuoli will have to do without youngster Boris Vukcevic over the coming weeks. The 21-year old was injured during the stalemate Saturday evening encounter with Hamburger SV suffering a fracture in his lower leg.

This comes as bad news for the Kraichgau outfit who had almost managed to have a near fully fit first-team for the first time this season with the return of Manuel Gulde and Chinedu Obasi to full training. However, Vukcevic, who had enjoyed a successful spell playing twice for the German U-21's picked up the injury after a tangle of legs with Eljero Elia. Having already come on as a substitute for Roberto Firmino, the youngster only lasted 14 minutes and had to be replaced by Gylfi Sigurdsson for the final twenty minutes.

We wish the youngster a successful and speedy recovery!
