International round-up

Hoffenheim's national team stars were mostly successful in round one of the international fixtures last weekend. Find out how they got on here:

Bosnia 5-0 Luxembourg

Bosnia-Herzegovina have a chance of qualification for EURO 2012 after a 5-0 win over Luxembourg. They still face a tough match away to France tonight, however. TSG striker Vedad Ibisevic came through a first 90 minutes since his knee injury.

Sudan 0-2 Ghana

Ghana and Isaac Vorsah are practically assured qualification for the African Cup of Nations after a 2-0 win in Sudan. Sadly for Vorsah, he was shown a red card in the 52nd minute of the game last Friday. He must wait to discover if he is suspended for his country's first game of the tournament. Tonight, Ghana face Nigeria in a friendly in London, where Vorsah will face 1899 teammate Chinedu Obasi.

Cape Verde 2-1 Zimbabwe

Knowledge Musona and Zimbabwe will unfortunately miss out on the African Cup of Nations after a 2-1 defeat against Cape Verde, although Musona did manage to get on the scoresheet with a penalty.

Nigeria 2-2 Guinea

Chinedu Obasi and Nigeria also miss out on next year's tournament. They could only manage a 2-2 draw with Guinea, the away side scoring an equaliser in injury time.

Portugal 5-3 Iceland

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a penalty for Iceland in the 90th minute of their 5-3 defeat away to Portugal last Friday. Portugal are now level on points going into tonight's game with Sweden and Denmark, while Iceland lie in second-last place.

Holland 1-0 Moldova

Bert van Marwijk's Holland secured their ninth win in nine matches thanks to a goal from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Hoffenheim's Edson Braafheid was an unused substitute.

Germany U21s 3-0 Bosnia U21s

Peniel Mlapa und Sebastian Rudy both featured for Germany Under 21s on Friday, the former scoring a superb effort., while the latter also played his part with two assists.

Denmark U21s 4-0 Faroe Island U21s 4:0

Jannik Vestergaard celebrated an easy 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands Under 21s. After two games, Denmark lie in 2nd place behind Serbia, but they do have a game in hand. Tonight's game against Serbia is a must-win game in terms of automatic qualification.
