Prince Tagoe back in action

The 23-year-old still hasn't made a competitive appearance for 1899 Hoffenheim since his move to the club in the summer, but the Ghanaian is now raring to go after playing in Tuesday night's friendly against Kickers Offenbach.

Prince Tagoe is yet to play for the Blue-Whites in the Bundesliga, last appearing for the first team in a 2-1 defeat to Spanish side FC Getafe in pre-season. Health problems then forced him into an extended break from the game, but now he is back and ready to go: "I was really pleased to get a run out. I'm very thankful to the coach for giving me a chance," said Tagoe. The Ghanaian international's joy at being back out on the pitch was plain for all to see as the big midfielder got straight in on the attacking play. Indeed, Tagoe was involved in some decent combinations with his team-mates, leading to praise from coach Ralf Rangnick: "Prince is slowly getting back to full fitness. He's already looking better than he did in the summer and in a few weeks I'm sure he'll be gunning for a place in the starting line up." Tagoe has been working hard on his fitness over the past few weeks and is hoping to appear in the Bundesliga soon. "Rainer Schrey has helped me get to the level of fitness that the rest of the squad is at. I feel great and I'll keep on working on my game to ensure I can help the team in the Bundesliga this season."
