Obasi, Vorsah and Tagoe selected in preliminary World Cup squads - Carlos Eduardo misses out.

The dream of participating in the World Cup is still alive for Chinedu Obasi, Isaac Vorsah and Prince Tagoe as they have moved one step closer to South Africa.

For these three 1899 Hoffenheim players their hopes of having a role to play for their country in South Africa could still become a reality as they have all made their prospective national teams 30 man preliminary squads. Starting on June 11th the World Cup in South Africa is the first to be played on African soil and all three players will be representing countries from the home continent: Chinedu Obasi has been selected for Nigeria, while both Vorsah and Tagoe made Ghana's preliminary squad.

Carlos Eduardo, however, was unfortunately not selected in the Brazilian squad despite some good performances of late. Coach Dunga chose not to select a preliminary squad of 30 players and instead opted to choose the 23 players he wants to take to the World Cup with the hope that none of them get injured.
