Next opponents: Freiburg show signs of life

After two poor home performances against Hertha Berlin and Hannover, SCF put in a far better showing against the Nullfünfers, inspired by their narrow defeat to league leaders Bayern München the previous week. A long range strike from Johannes Flum (10') - his first ever Bundesliga goal - was enough for Freiburg to keep their hopes of survival alive at the badenova Stadion. For the Nürnberg game, away fans have been banned for setting off fireworks in during their match at Bochum at the end of February, so the omens are good for Freiburg to avoid relegation into the second tier after just one season.
