Match reaction against Borussia Mönchengladbach

Thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Cup Round of 16, 1899 Hoffenheim have qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition. Here's the reaction to the game from those involved on either side of the Rhein-Neckar-Arena encounter:

Ralf Rangnick: We deserved to win tonight. We've performed more convincingly in other matches, but at the end of the day we were fully concentrated tonight. I've seen a good game tonight and we're happy that we've made it into the quarterfinals.

Michael Frontzeck: We deserved to be knocked out and the better team has gotten through. I'm still pleased that this poor first half of the season has come to an end and we can regroup over the winter break. With the players we've got in our squad we need to prepare ourselves to tackle the task of fighting against relegation. We've got the potential to stay up this season.

Marvin Compper: We kept Gladbach at arms length and didn't let them come into the match, which was very important. With Demba's effort that was ruled out for offside I would have been honestly surprised if it had been given any other way.

Andreas Beck: Outside of a couple of moments it was a solid performance. Today we finally managed to achieve maintaining our concentration over the whole 90 minutes. We'll take whatever comes our way in the next round.
