Nilsson and Raitala celebrate birthday

Per Nilsson and Jukka Raitala have many things in common. Not only are they both from Scandinavia, they also celebrate their birthday together.

Skipper Nilsson turned 27 on Tuesday, the newly-signed man from Helsinki 21. "It is not a special age, so there will be no spectacularly big party", Nilsson said and revealed that he was going to cook together with his wife at home spending a comfortable evening. His parents-in-law had been visiting over the weekend and there was a small early celebration. In the past in Sweden, Nilsson celebrated his birthdays with friends and family but "as a footballer, you travel a lot and don't get to see your family that much", the defender said. However, his mobile rang all Tuesday long: "There were some surprises", as ‘Pelle' revealed.

Jukka Raitala spent his birthday having diner in hotel as his girlfriend already was on the way back home to Finland. Raitala used the time to catch up with friends and family over the phone, though. "I always used to eat some cake with the kids from our neighbourhood who stopped by because of my birthday. Nothing spectacular, as you see, just celebrating the day with some friend and my family", the left-back said. All team mates already congratulated both Nilsson and Raitala and the club as well would like to say "Hyvää syntymäpäivää Jukka" and "på födelsedagen Pelle" !
